While Karnal had a low of 7.5 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal, the minimum at Amritsar and Ludhiana was an identical 7.8 degrees Celsius, one notch each below normal, the Met department said.
Among other places, Patiala settled at a low of 9.5 degrees Celsius followed by 10.9 degrees Celsius at Chandigarh, two notches above normal and 11.5 degrees Celsius at Ambala, also two notches above normal.
The Met department has forecast dry weather in the region during the next 48 hours.
