Uttar Pradesh Urban Development Minister Azam Khan today pulled up officials for delay in the implementation of battery-operated rickshaw scheme in the state.
At a review meeting here, he said due to lack of interest by the officials, the pace of implementation of the scheme was very slow and rickshaw pullers could not be handed over these e-rickshaws.
He said that the attitude of officials was causing hindrance in fulfilling this poll promise of Samajwadi Party.
Khan said that after trial of rickshaws of various companies, the best performers were short-listed but nothing was done after that.
