Mindtree bags deal from Esprit

Software services firm Mindtree today said it will deliver IT solutions to Esprit, aimed at making the international fashion brand more competitive.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
In the first phase of this relationship, Mindtree will monitor and support Esprit's SAP applications suite for more than 300 directly managed retail stores and over 7,500 wholesale points of sale in Europe, Mindtree said in a statement.
As part of the multi-year deal, Mindtree will ensure stability of Esprit's SAP systems and maintain on-time availability of its data and provide flexibility to IT management to meet their business needs, it added.

AIM for Seva to launch solar systems in free student homes *Coimbatore: AIM for Seva, a non-profit organisation, jointly with Rotary Club of Coimbatore Spectrum today launched 'Project Jyoti' for installation of a PV Solar Electric system at all free student homes run by the outfit in Tamil Nadu.
To start with, the project will be implemented at the Boys Student Home in Sathyamangalam.
Our ultimate aim is to see every Student Home in India switches to solar power and as a first step 17 Homes in Tamil Nadu will be provided with the system by the end of this academic year, Meera Rajgopal, spokesperson for AIM for Seva, told PTI.
Two pilot projects have already been functioning in Anaikatty Ashram on the city outskirts for the last one year, Meera said, adding that depending on utility and success, the remaining locations will be lighted through solar power in a phased manner, each requiring Rs 1.6 lakh.

Country Club India is now Country Club Hospitality & Holidays * Country Club India today said it is rebranding the club as Country Club Hospitality & Holidays in order to suitably position the brand.
"We operate in many verticals including holidays, clubbing, events and fitness. To suitably position the brand of the company among investors and to reflect the strong product offerings to our customer, we are changing our name to Country Club Hospitality & Holidays Limited," company Joint Managing Director and CEO Siddharth Reddy said in a release.
The change in name was approved by shareholders of the company at the 23rd annual general meeting held on September 30, he added.
