Minor drowns in UP

A 2-year-old boy drowned after
falling in a four-feet-deep pit near a brick kiln in Bithoor area here, police said today.
The minor, whose parents worked at the brick kiln in Tikari village, fell into the water-filled pit and died yesterday, a police spokesperson said.
He said when the boy's father started looking for him, some villagers found his body floating in the pit.
The minor was rushed to a hospital in Kalyanpur where he was declared brought dead, they said.
Police said no case has been registered so far.
