However, there has been no report of any damage to life and property at Daringbadi, its BDO Trilochan Patra said.
The Bhubaneswar meteorological centre said the earth quake having its magnitude of 3.2 on the Richter scale occurred at 11.33 am today with its epicentre at latitude 19.80 north and longitude 84.10 east in Kandhamal district of Odisha, the preliminary report said.
"The epicentre of the earthquake was about distance of 100 km in the northeastly direction of Rayagada seismological observatory and about 280 km in south-westerly direction of Bhubaneswar," the report of the met office said.
