The incident occurred on August 25 when the girl had gone to see off a male friend at a nearby bus stop, a senior police officer said.
When she was returning, the accused, Vijender Kumar (43) who is her neighbour, started questioning her about the boy and threatened to tell her parents, the officer said.
Ignoring him, the girl started walking towards her house and he followed her. When she was about to enter inside, he touched her inappropriately, he said.
Yesterday, her father approached the police with a complaint against Kumar following which the accused was arrested today, the officer said.
Kumar has been booked under section 354A (sexual harassment) of IPC and relevant sections of the POCSO Act, he said.
