Minor girl found hanging from tree in UP

The body of a 17-year-old girl, who was missing since Sunday, was today found hanging from a tree in the outskirts of Aroli village here, with police suspecting that she was strangulated after rape.
According to the SP(City), Rajesh Kumar, the deceased, a resident of Aroli village, was missing since Sunday and a report in this regard was lodged by her father expressing fear that she has been kidnapped by one neighbour Manoj (20).
Prima facie it appears a case of rape followed by strangulation, he said, adding that the body has been sent for post mortem.
Relevant sections for murder have been added to the FIR with recovery of the body, the SP said.

The accused and his family are absconding, he said.
