A 17-year old girl kidnapped from Srinagar was rescued in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district on Friday, police said.
Sajad Ahmad Kandoo of Shanpora-Habak in Srinagar had kidnapped the minor girl on Wednesday, following which a case was registered and an investigation initiated, they said.
Police had activated special check points to nab the accused, officials said.

The minor girl will be handed over to her family members after completion of legal formalities, officials added.
