The incident took place last night when the youths, travelling in a truck, kidnapped the girl from Kotla Road, Circle Officer (City) Rajesh Chaudhary said.
The girl started shouting, following which the local residents called the police and gave them the truck number, he said.
Police then chased the truck and rescued the girl.
Three persons, including the truck driver were detained, Chaudhary said, adding, two youths managed to flee from the spot.
A case of kidnapping has been registered against the accused and efforts are on to nab the remaining accused, he added.
