The incident took place yesterday after the victim, studying at the Zilla Parishad High School in Jalumuru here complained of stomachache and decided to leave her class and go to her hostel following which she boarded an auto, they said.
The accused auto driver identified as Yejjala Jagan Mohan Raju instead of taking her to the SC girls' hostel in Jalumuru, drove her to an isolated spot near Challavanipeta where he sexually abused her.
The accused fled the spot after committing the crime.
Police has registered a case against the absconding auto driver under the Nirbhaya Act.
