The accused, identified as Mohammad Akram Khan (46) was booked for allegedly sexually exploiting a four-year-old girl who lived in the same neighbourhood, Inspector S Maheshwar of Shah Ali Banda Police Station said.
Khan's act was recorded in the CCTV camera installed at his residence by his wife, he said.
"The accused's wife was suspicious of his acts with the girl. So, without his knowledge, she installed a CCTV camera in their house. We are currently examining the footage," Maheshwar told PTI.
Khan lured the child with chocolates and sweets and brought her to his home, he said.
A case under relevant sections of the Nirbhaya Act and the IPC including section 377 (unnatural offences) was registered against Khan and further investigations are on, the Inspector added.
