Minor girls raped in UP

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly
gang raped by four acquaintances in Unnao district, while another minor girl was raped by a youth at Ghatampur area here.
In the first incident, a group of four youth picked up the 16-year-old victim from a medical store in Unnao last night, Kanpur SSP Shalabh Mathur said.
The assailants took the girl to Kanpur-Lucknow Highway where she was allegedly gang raped and then thrown off at Nawabgunj Toll Plaza around 60 km from here, he said.
The severely wounded girl was spotted by a passer-by who informed her parents about the incident, police said.

In his complaint to the police, the victim's father said his daughter had gone to a nearby medical store last night to buy medicines for her mother when she was forcibly picked up by the accused in a car, they said.

Two persons were arrested in the incident and efforts are on to nab the others, Mathur said.
The accused were reportedly known to the victim, he said, adding that the angle of a possible romantic relationship would also be probed.
The girl has been sent for medical examination and investigation was underway, the SSP said.
In the other incident, a 14-year-old girl was raped by a youth at Siroh village in Ghatampur area here yesterday.

The crime happened when the girl was returning home from the fields and was grabbed by one Soshnarayan, SP (Rural) Surendra Tiwari said.
The girl was then raped by the man's friend Satish, he said, adding that the accused duo fled the spot after the crime.
On the girl's complaint, an FIR has been filed against the accused and hunt was on to nab them, Tiwari said.
The victim has been sent for medical examination, he added.
