The deceased has been identified as Ranjit Kumar (6), Deputy DSP Bibhash Kumar said, adding, four minors have been admitted to sadar hospital and one child has been referred to Gorakhpur hospital, as his condition is stated to be serious.
The incident occurred when the tractor carrying children collided with the container truck coming from the opposite direction, the police official said.
The truck has been seized, but its driver managed to escape, he said.
