The incident took place yesterday when the victim was alone in her house, SHO, Sahibabad Police Station Upendra Yadav said, adding, Pankaj sneaked into the house and raped her.
He also latched the main gate while feeling from the spot, the SHO said.
The victim nararted her ordeal to her mother when she returned from the market, following which a complaint was registered against Pankaj, Yadav said.
An FIR was registered under section 376 (rape) and 452 (house trespass) of the IPC and the accused has been arrested and sent to jail, he said.
