Minor shot at for protesting substance abuse, accused juvenile held

A juvenile has been apprehended for allegedly firing at a minor who confronted him for substance abuse in Uttam Nagar area here, police said today.
The minor had scolded the accused and his two friends who were smelling a fluid at a local park in Uttam Nagar, on Friday, DCP(west) Vijay Kumar said.
When the minor asked the trio to leave the park, a brawl ensued. Hours after the incident, the accused reached the workplace of the minor at Hastsal, fired at him and fled, the police officer said.
The minor was admitted to a hospital with bullet injury on his arm, he said.

The accused was apprehended from Safeda Park last evening and the weapon has been seized. He was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and further investigation is underway.
