Confirming the loot of Rs 12 lakh from two traders, Semapur police outpost in-charge Ajay Pandey said the incident took place around 3 pm near Sakraili area when the two traders - Pritam Choudhary and Chiranjivi Jaiswal- were on their way back to Barari Semapur on a bike after withdrawing Rs 18.50 lakh from a nearby HDFC branch.
They told the police that they had put Rs 6.50 lakh in motorcycle's dickey while they were carrying Rs 12 lakh in a bag, the officer-in-charge said adding that six miscreants riding three motorcycles intercepted the traders near Sakraili area and looted Rs 12 lakh at gun point.
