Miscreants torch workshop, two-wheeler, targets press club

Unidentified persons set ablaze an auto-rickshaw workshop and a two-wheeler parked outside a house at Mettupalayam in the district in the early hours of today, police said.
The workshop and the two-wheeler were gutted in the fire and investigation was on, since the motive was immediately not known, police said.
They also threw a burning paper through the closed shutters of Mettupalayam Press Club, about 40 km from here, police said.
A table and some newspapers were partially burnt in the fire.
