Ameesha began her acting career with superhit film "Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai" which also marked Hrithik Roshan's debut but besides a few hit, she could not sustain her success at the box office.
Her last film was "Shortcut Romeo", which released in 2013 and was not a commercial hit. Ashmit is hopeful that the 40-year-old actress will be back soon.
"I do miss seeing her on screen I am sure she will bounce back soon. She did prove herself with films she did. She is working on some films which will come out soon. I am looking forward to see her back," Ashmit told PTI.
"Ameesha is my dearest sister and will continue to be one," he added.
Ashmit is excited about his upcoming film "Dongri Ka Raja" that also stars Ronit Roy. It is scheduled to release in November.
