A 15-year-old girl who went missing from Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir was found in Punjab on Saturday, police said.
The girl went missing on Friday and her father had lodged a police complaint, following which an investigation was launched, senior superintendent of police, Udhampur, Rajiv Pandey, said.
"Police immediately swung into action and started the search for the girl by utilising human and technical intelligence," he said.
"During the course of investigation, police came to know that the girl is in Beas area of Punjab. A police team was dispatched overnight and the girl was recovered," he added.
The girl was brought back to Udhampur and further investigation is going on, the SSP said.
