Ram Avtar had gone missing for a day. His body carrying injury marks was recovered from railway tracks last evening, SHO K P Singh said.
It is suspected that miscreants murdered him at his home and then threw his body there, he said, adding that the body has been sent for postmortem and further probe into the matter is on.
In a separate incident a 55-year-old man, who was a witness in the murder case of his son, was shot dead in Kotwali police station area in the city last evening.
Old enmity was stated to be the reason behind the murder.
