The matter came to light on Tuesday when devotees went to Kundeshwar Mahadeo and Gahareshwar Mahadeo and one another temple to offer prayers and found shivlings missing from their place, following which they (devotees) reported the matter in police.
"While two Shivlings were recovered from Gahavar Van area yesterday, efforts to find out the third are on," Dy SP Atul Kumar Srivastava said.
"It is the handiwork of an insane person of Chiksauli village who sleeps near the temples daily. He would be arrested shortly," he said.
