Still in the awe of Disco Dancer Mithun Chakraborty for his humiility shown in Herogiri sets, superstar-MP Dev says his greatest quality is not having any ego.
"Mithunda announced before the shoot he wants to watch me swaying to the beats and he will just be matching my steps. Despite me having done so many films and delivered hits it is always a humbling experience for anybody sharing frame with an actor-dancer of his caliber," Dev told PTI here.
"It is you who will dominate the scenes. Who else but your father can say such things," an emotional Dev said at the trailer launch of the Ravi Kinnagi directed film.
Still effusive about the undisputed disco king, Dev said, "I recall the teenage days when we all wanted to copy the hair style of Dada. He is one of the guys from Bengal having got national prominence, And now when I got to know him on personal front in last couple of years he turned out to be the ever helpful legend."
"I always tell Mithunda you give me tips and whatever tips he give, even small ones, it helps a lot in your expressions. Let Mithunda remain as youthful for ever," he said.
Apparently trying to reinvent himself, the 'Buno Hans' actor feels it is time to give a twist to even his mainstream roles.
"In Herogiri I wish to come across as a different Dev - not the one seen in Paglu, Challenge or likewise. I always pray I shouldnot look the same in every flick," Dev, whose last release opposite Koel Mallick in Rangbaaz was also a hit with its songs topping the tracks, said.
Coming to his co-star Koel Mallick, again in Herogiri, Dev said, "I have lost count of the films I did with Koel.
"She is the one who has proved career doesn't come to end after marriage. But can set out for another beginning. She is gorgeous in Herogiri as well."
Dev, who feels eight releases in one month augusrs well for Tollywood, said, "It creates a new buzz in the entertainment industry and the effect shows in all-round feel-good factor."
Director Ravi said, "The energy level of all the three stars - Mithun, Dev and Koel - will show on the screen which is a fulsome entertainer with emotional quotient."
Herogiri, produced by Surinder Films, will hit theatres on January 23.
