In a written reply to a question from Lalruatkima of the Mizo National Front (MNF), Rotluangliana said that though the state Transport department has 49 buses, only 44 of them were fit to ply on the roads and were plying on 18 different routes.
According to the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the year 2015-2016, the department's financial loss during 2011-12 was Rs 24.12 crore while it was Rs 17.21 crore and Rs 21.13 in 2012-13 and 2013-14 respectively.
