Announcing this in the Lower House, Parliamentary Affairs minister Harshwardhan Patil said, the MNS MLA, Pravin Darekar, had made "objectionable" remarks in the House, after the chief minister's reply on a debate on issues related to Mumbai.
The minister moved a resolution that Darekar be suspended from the House for a year, till the end of the monsoon session of state legislature in 2014.
The resolution, which also bars Darekar from entering Vidhan Bhawan premises in Mumbai and Nagpur during the period, was later adopted by the House.
