Mobile application to help women, senior citizens

Two years after the gruesome 'Nirbhaya' incident, a mobile application can now come to the aid of travelling women in distress.
"The one-stop mobile emergency can be of use to everybody in emergency situations in case of accident including women professionals travelling alone and elderly persons," a senior official said.
"By pressing the SOS button on the application instant message can be sent and the concerned person will get the detailed road map and medical emergency facilities in five km radius," he said.
Renowned model Ishika said with incidents of attacks on women in cities on rise, in moving vehicles, when they travel alone, the 'Uri Life' will be of much use.
