Mobile, sim card recovered from jail inmate in Faridabad

One mobile phone and a sim card was found in the possession of a jail inmate during a surprise checking in Neemka jail here, police said today.
A surprise checking was conducted by Deputy Superintendent Jail, Roshan Singh Hudda and one mobile phone and a sim was seized from the possession of inmate Singraj, hailing from District Gautam Buddh Nagar in Uttar Pradesh, police said.
Similar cases have occurred in the past due to which the jail authorities had recently prohibited any food or eatables for the inmates from outside, they said.
A case was registered with Police Station Ballabgarh under section 42 of the Prison Act.
