Acting on a tip-off, Forest Department officials visited model Momita Pradeep Ghosh's flat in New Ambivali Society on Vira Desai Road yesterday where she was found to be illegally in possession of two pieces of spotted deer skins.
The skins were seized following which she was arrested and produced before JMFC Andheri which gave her a day's police custody, sources said.
On further interrogation today, she disclosed the name of one Nitin Chouhan of Ranchi, who supplied the skin but didn't disclose his address. She was subsequently produced before the magistrate for further custody.
