Moderate rainfall in most parts of West Bengal
Press Trust of India Kolkata Many places in West Bengal received moderate rainfall today, the Met department said.
Kolkata recorded 27 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours till 5.30 PM today, while Cooch Behar received a meagre rainfall during this period.
Bankura received the highest 48 mm of rain followed by 25 mm each at Sriniketan and Krishna nagar, 21 mm at Panagarh, 18 mm at Asansol, 14 mm at Burdwan, 11 mm at Midnapore, 10 mm at Diamond Harbour and 9 mm at Haldia, while Digha received only 4 mm of precipitation.
The weatherman has predicted generally cloudy sky with a few spells of rain or thundershowers for tomorrow.
In Kolkata, the maximum temperature was recorded at 30.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 25.7 degrees Celsius, the weather office said.
