Moderate rains in parts of HP, min temp marginally up

Moderate rains occurred at some places in Himachal Pradesh whilethe weather remained dry in others causing marginal rise in minimumtemperatures.
Joginder Nagar in Mandi was wettest place in the state with 54 mm rain while Dharamshalarecorded 53 mm, followed by Pandoh and Saluni (27 mm), Sarahan (15 mm), Manali (9 mm), Mandi (6 mm) and Sarkaghat and Bharmaur (5 mm each).
The Met office here has warned of heavy rains at isolated places in mid hills over next three days and predicted rains or thundershowers at many places in lower, mid and higher hills over next six days.
The minimum temperatures rose by few notches and Keylong and Kalpa in tribal Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur districts recorded a low of 13.8 and 16 degrees Celsius respectively whileManali recorded a low of 14.2 degrees, followed by Dharamsala 17 and Shimla 17.8.
There was no significant change in maximum temperatures and Una was hottest in the region with a high of 38.4 degrees Celsius.
The monsoon rains had been normal during the month of June and the state received an average of 101.5 mm rain against normal rainfall of 99.3 mm.
Una received 144 per cent excess rains while Solan, Bilaspur and Mandi districts received 94, 65 and 31 per cent while tribal districts of Lahaul and Spitiand Kinnaur had 75 and 73 per cent deficit rains, followed by Chamba 31 per cent while rains were near normal in other districts.
