Lawyer and activist Prashant Bhushan today accused the NDA government at the Centre of "dismantling" institutions of accountability and "promoting fascism".

"Modi government is leaving no stone unturned to dismantle all institutions of accountability, be it CVC, CIC or any other," Bhushan told a press conference here.

"Corruption is taking place in this government but it'll take some time to get exposed," he said.

He said JNU Students Union President Kanhaiya Kumar was arrested on the charge of sedition but no FIR has been registered against the "people of BJP and government" who were behind the fake videos used in this matter.

"Union minister Ram Shankar Katheria gave provocative statements but no FIR was lodged against him. He was not sacked," he said, adding BJP, RSS and its allied groups and government have now clearly come out in "support of fascism".

"Modi used to stay away from such things but now in JNU incident this government has opened its cards and come out," he said.

Bhushan also lashed out at the BJP government in Rajasthan for not taking action against the party MLA Kanwar Lal Meena who alongwith his supporters allegedly attacked activists of Jawabdehi Yatra in Jhalawar in January.

Activists Aruna Roy, Nikhil Dey and Kavita Srivastava also demanded stern action against the MLA and said a demonstration would be held near Assembly on March 10.
