Modi meets delegation of weavers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today discussed aspects relating to the handloom sector with a delegation of weavers from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
"Discussed aspects relating to the handloom sector with weavers from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana," Modi tweeted.
A delegation of weavers from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana called on the Prime Minister and thanked him for announcing August 7 as National Handloom Day, a statement said.
They expressed the happiness over recent policy initiatives, which they said, would help the handloom industry, it said.
The delegation also gave suggestions and inputs to the Prime Minister for the sector.
