"He (Narendra Modi) came to power on the promise of ushering in 'acche din' (good days). However, his government has been unsuccessful on all fronts and people are getting disillusioned with it," the Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, said while addressing reporters here last night.
Taking a dig at Modi over his foreign tours, the Congress leader said, "Now people want the Prime Minister to give more time to the common people of the country."
"Milk producers are pouring milk on roads over low rates. I am going to hold a meeting with milk producers and will plan our (Congress') strategy to wake up the government," he said.
"The CM is inviting industries to set shops here whereas local businesses are shifting their base out from the state."
"He should stop this trend and also give priority to check suicides being committed by farmers," Vikhe Patil said.
The opposition leader reiterated the need to provide security by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to the Saibaba shrine here, which he said is visited by more than two crore devotees every year and is under a constant threat of terror attack.
