Yoga guru Ramdev today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking steps to take the country forward and has achieved "success" in ensuring "corruption-free" governance.
"The Prime Minister is taking steps to take the country forward and towards a strong economy and has achieved success in bringing transparency in development works and making governance corruption free," Ramdev said.
Ramdev was attending a three-day Yoga training camp in Panchkula where he imparted training to Yoga practitioners, including some state ministers, MLAs and senior administrative officers.
The Yoga guru said that the Prime Minister in his two years in office has taken several "big initiatives".
"He will prove to be the best of all Prime Ministers of India," he said.
Lauding Modi's efforts for promoting the ancient discipline, Ramdev, who is Haryana's brand ambassador for yoga and ayurveda, said, "By understanding the importance of Yoga, he has brought yoga the international recognition".
Meanwhile, Haryana's Health Minister Anil Vij said that with a view to promoting yoga and sports in the state, the state Government has decided to set up 10 sports nurseries in each district.
Those children who regularly attend the nurseries would be given a monthly stipend of Rs 1,500, Vij said.
Vij also said that the state government was in talks with Indian Olympic Association for hosting the National Games next year and a decision in this regard would soon be reached.
