Mohun Bagan set to appoint Sanjoy Sen as head coach

Former Mohammedan Sporting manager Sanjoy Sen was today appointed as the head coach of Mohun Bagan for the remaining part of the football season.
General Secretary Anjan Kumar Mitra made this announcement at the club tent after lengthy deliberations between the three-member technical committee and the management of the United Mohun Bagan Football Team Pvt Ltd.
"Sanjoy Sen has worked with a lot of juniors in the past and is a very good coach who can mix nicely with the players nicely and has also ably handled several star players in the past," said Mitra.
In the past, Sanjoy Sen has worked as the Assistant Coach of the U-16 and U-19 National Teams under Colin Toal. He also had been the chief coach of Mohammedan Sporting and United Sports.

As a player, Sanjoy Sen who worked for the Indian Railways, has played all his life as a defender for Railway FC.
The move comes a few days after Subhas Bhowmik was removed as the technical director of the club, citing the AIFF's recent decision that an AFC 'A' coaching license was mandatory for someone to occupy such a position.
The I-League giants are likely begin their preparation for the Federation Cup sometime this week under the coaching of Sen.
