An FIR has been lodged after a video of a girl, who was accompanied by a male friend, being molested in Nalanda district has gone viral on social media, police said.
The FIR has been lodged in Hilsa police station against five persons and raids were on to arrest them, Superintendent of Police Sudhir Kumar Porika said.
The incident occurred on June 9 but came to light today after the video showing the five men harassing the couple and molesting the girl went viral on social media, police said.
The incident occurred when the couple was passing through a deserted place at Bhareti Asadhi Road under Hilsa police station area after attending a coaching class.
Two persons were arrested last month from Gaya in connection with the molestation of a young woman, the video of which had also gone viral on social media.
