According to the MeT department, Mau received maximum 10 cm of rainfall, followed by Koraon and Sikohabad 9, Katerniaghat, Billari and Karui 8, Musafikhana and Jalalabad 7, Aligarh and Kunda 6, and Kaisurganj, Gonda, Tarabganj, Narora and Tilhar 5 cm each.
The MeT forecast predicts more rain and thundershowers at many places across the state.
Meanwhile, a Central Water Commission report said Ganga remained in spate and was flowing above the danger mark at Fatehpur, Phaphamau, Varanasi, Gazipur and Ballia, while Yamuna continued to flow above the red mark at Naini.
