"We are improving that. We have inherited it (from the previous regime). Lot of improvement has taken place and more will be done," Prasad said while responding to a question on call drops.
As per a recent test report released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai), none of telecom operators showed improvement in call drops in Mumbai, Pune and Bhubaneswar.
The operators, however, argued that Trai's data do not portray the actual performance of their networks and there was a wide divergence between the results of the tests done by them and those by the regulator.

Prasad also announced launch of WiFi service at Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Jammu and Kashmir.
"I would like BSNL to install WiFi at all major tourist places in a targetted manner," Prasad said.
Shrivastava said that the Shrine is the 1000th location where BSNL is offering its WiFi service.
BSNL had plans to set up 40,000 WiFi hotspots in next financial year.
