Interacting with mediapersons, Pandey, who is a Lok Sabha MP from Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh, said that the government has been working to raise the standard of education, a direction in which it will continue to work.
Educated at the Banaras Hindu University, Pandey has a doctorate in Hindi Language and a masters degree in journalism as well.
In the 16th Lok Sabha, he had been a member of Standing Committee on Rural Development and Consultative Committee for Ministry of Steel and Mines. He was also a member of Business Advisory Committee and Parliament Committee on Official Language, a statement here said.
