Mother, 3 minors dies after fire guts house

A 40-year-old mother and her three minor children today succumbed to burn injuries after a fire, caused under mysterious circumstances, razed her residence to ground in Bithoor area here, police said.
The incident happened yesterday night when the house was gutted in fire, and the locals could not save the mother and the children as it was difficult to douse the flames, SP (Rural) AK Mishra said.
Soon after the fire was ignited, all the four injured were rushed to the nearby hospital where the three-year-old Divyanshu died yesterday night in an operation, Mishra said.
The other three injured, including the mother Soni, Jahnvi (7) and Vaishnavi (4), succumbed to injuries when they were being operated upon, police added.

Husband Mahesh, a food vendor, was questioned in the matter. Efforts are on to know the cause of fire, they said.
The bodies have been sent for post mortem, police said adding that the investigation in on.
