Mother-daughter die after consuming local cold drink

A woman and her three-year-old daughter died after allegedly consuming a locally-made cold drink at their residence in Laxmivadi area here today, police said.
Forty-year-old Rekha Dhana and her minor daughter Hemangi started vomiting after consuming a local brand of cold drinks, L R Gohil, Police Sub-Inspector of Bhaktinagar police station said.
Their health deteriorated and they were immediately taken to the civil hospital where they were declared dead on arrival, he added.
"The cold drink samples have been sent to laboratory for testing," Gohil said.
