Private transport vehicles in Kerala will remain off the roads on September 4 in protest of fuel price hike.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the various trade unions here today.
Petrol price had recently been hike by Rs 2.35 paise and diesel by 50 paise. By this hike, for one litre of petrol, consumers in Kerala have to shell out Rs 76, the highest so far.
Private buses, autorickshaws and taxis will remain off the roads on Wednesday as part of the token strike, the union leaders said.
