The producers of 'Promoted' claim they attempted to contact Barton for a March 4 start date but got no response from the actress, reported TMZ.
They got an email from Barton's mother, saying, "Mischa is still in Europe and won't be available until the 20th of this month."
The producers claim Barton's absence created a snowball effect and the lead actor also walked out. They are now seeking USD 20,000 advance she got, USD 200,000 in marketing expenses and USD 100,000 which they say they will lose because she is no longer working on the movie.
