BJP also questioned the Congress leadership whether it will disown its West Bengal leader for moving the Supreme Court demanding a CBI probe after which the probe was ordered.
"TMC moving Supreme Court is an internal decision of the party and in democracy everyone has the right to go to the court. We respect their right. However it does show that TMC leadership is nervous due to Saradha scam investigation and role of their leaders being exposed," BJP national secretary and incharge of West Bengal affairs Siddharth Nath Singh said.
In both their pleas, they have alleged that that TMC leaders are being "targeted" by the CBI and alleged the agency is being used as an "instrument" of the Centre.
In a statement, Singh said questioned Sonia and Rahul Gandhi on whether Congress has disowned their West Bengal leader who had moved a PIL in the Supreme Court demanding a CBI enquiry after which the CBI investigation was initiated.
Senior Congress leader and laywer Sibal, who is representing the Trinamool Congress in the Supreme Court, alleged that the CBI is leaking crucial information to others before they reach to the state government.
"Information is reaching other parties much earlier than the West Bengal government as there was a leakage," he said while asking the bench to hear the applications on Thursday.
Earlier on May 9 last year, the SC had ordered a CBI probe into chit fund scams in West Bengal, Odisha and Assam in which various companies, including Saradha.
