The 67-year-old BJP leader is survived by wife, two sons and four daughters.
Rohani complained of chest pain this morning following which he was rushed to a hospital here where doctors declared him dead, official sources said.
Rohani was the sitting MLA from Jabalpur Cantt and the BJP had again fielded him from the same seat for the November 25 state elections.
Born on June 30, 1946, the senior BJP leader had been elected to the Madhya Pradesh Assembly four consecutive times from Jabalpur Cantonment constituency. He had spent 19 months in jail during the Emergency in 1975.
