Three policemen and an advocate were booked after they filed cross complaints following a traffic dispute, an official said on Monday.
The incident happened during a helmet checking drive under Madan Mahal police station limits in Jabalpur, he said.
"Lawyer Sandeep Saini filed an FIR against Inspector Sandeep Ayachi, woman constable Meenakshi Shukla and constable Hemraj on Sunday night. WPC Shukla filed a case against Saini as well," the Madan Mahal police station official said.
"Saini was riding a motorcycle without a registration number. He was not wearing a helmet either. During the check, his motorcycle went over the foot of a woman constable. There was an argument between the police and the lawyer. Saini has claimed the inspector misbehaved with him when he went to file a complaint at Madan Mahal police station," he added.
