The division bench of Justices S K Seth and P K Jaiswal upheld the sessions court's ruling, said government lawyer Raghvendra Singh Bais here.
Additional sessions judge Indra Singh had awarded capital punishment to Jeetu (21), Babu alias Ketan (27) and Sunny alias Devendra (24) on April 26, 2013 for rape and murder of a girl on June 24, 2012 in Somnath ki Juni Chawl area in the city.
They were convicted under sections 363 (abduction), 302 (murder) and 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code. The trial court termed their crime as "rarest of rare" and awardedf death sentence to the accused.
