Madhya Pradesh: Plastic parks to be developed in Raisen, Gwalior districts

Plastic parks are being developed at Tamot in Raisen district and Billoa in Gwalior district by the Industries and Commerce department under the Plastic Park Scheme of the Centre.

Infrastructure works worth Rs 187 crore are being carried out in these parks, an official of the Public Relation Department said today.

It may be mentioned that the plastic park in 50 hectare land is being developed at Tamot in Raisen. An amount of Rs 105 crore is being spent on electricity, roads, water and other infrastructure works.

Tamot is eight kilometer away from the NH-12 Obaidullahganj near here.

Fourteen kilometer long water pipeline is being laid here to facilitate 1.8 MLD water supply. Moreover, 132 KV sub station is being installed in this area and underground cabling is being laid for street lights arrangements, the official said.

Also, 4.7 kilometer long sewage system of 0.14 MLD capacity is being prepared in the plastic park.

Similarly, infrastructure development works worth Rs 82 crore at 33 hectare land are being undertaken at Billoa in district Gwalior.

Plastic park Billoa is four kilometer away from the NH-75. Keeping in view the environment, plantation on 13 acre land will be undertaken in the park. Moreover, water treatment plant having 2.5 MLD capacity is being installed in the area.

The Plastic park at Billoa comes under the periphery of National Capital Region, he said.

Communication, banking and fire services are being developed in these parks for the facility of investors, the official added.
