A BJP member's suggestion that Lok Sabha members should file a declaration that they would not keep bonded labourers received support from the government.
Pallab Charan Das (BJP) raised the issue during the Zero Hour this evening, saying like giving out property details, members should also file an undertaking that they would not keep bonded labourers.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal said such suggestions are worth implementing into a national policy.
The minister said he endorses it and the Parliamentary Affairs Ministry is noting down such suggestions for future consultations.
Santosh Pandey (BJP) raised the issue of alleged custodial deaths in Chhattisgarh. He demanded a committee be set up to look into the cases of custodial deaths and suicides by those in lock up.
