Raising the issue during zero hour, Kalyan Banerjee of TMC said that a theft had occurred at party leader Sudip Bandhopadhyay's house on Maulana Azad Road with several of his belongings, including items in the 'puja ghar', having been taken away during the break-in.
Banerjee said that Bandhopadhyay has been unwell for quite some time and does not stay in Delhi.
The TMC MP further said that although the matter of theft had been taken up with the Chairman of the House Committee, there has been no progress in the probe.
In his response, the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, shared the concern of the MPs and promised to call a meeting of all the relevant officials, including the Commissioner of Delhi Police, to address the issue.
