AVBD leader K Zothanpara said 430 units of blood was donated voluntarily in Aizawl and was expected to cross 500 units while the Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP) organised blood donation camp in south Mizoram's Hnahthial town 118 units of blood was donated.
AVBD have been organising voluntary blood donation camps called 'Blood for your Valentine' on Valentine's Day since 2010 and this year's theme was 'Show Love, Give Blood'.
